Privacy Policy

A plain explanation of what leet does with your information — which, in short, is nothing, because nothing ever leaves your phone.

leet is an offline assistant. It runs reminders, notes, an on-device AI, a password vault, and a few other tools entirely on your phone. There is no account, no server, and no company database your information passes through.

This page explains exactly what the app touches, why, and — just as importantly — what it never does.

01What we collect

Nothing. leet's developer does not collect, receive, or have access to any of your reminders, notes, messages, expenses, passwords, health entries, photos, or location. There is no analytics library, no crash-reporting service, no advertising SDK, and no sign-up — the app has never asked for your name or email.

02Where your data lives

Everything you enter into leet — reminders, notes, chat history, expenses, habits, journal entries — is written to a private file on your own device, inside the app's own storage, which other apps cannot read.

Saved passwords and authenticator codes are held separately, encrypted with the Android Keystore, and stay encrypted even inside a backup file. Voice recognition, handwriting/document scanning, and the AI model that powers chat and summaries all run on the phone's own processor — audio, images, and text you give the assistant are never transmitted anywhere to be processed.

If you turn on backup, the backup file is written to storage you choose (on-device or a location you pick) — leet does not upload it anywhere on its own.

03Permissions, and why

Android requires an explicit permission before an app can use certain device features. leet asks for each one only to power a specific tool you opted into — never as a blanket collection of data.

Microphone Lets you speak a reminder or question. Audio is transcribed on-device and discarded — it isn't recorded to a file or sent out.
Notification access Powers reminders and reply-drafts based on notifications you receive. Read locally, acted on locally.
Camera For scanning documents, business cards, and receipts into notes. Images are processed on-device and only kept if you choose to save them.
Location (including in the background) Only for the optional "remind me when I arrive" reminders and place-based automations you create yourself — for example a reminder when you reach the office, or turning on Do Not Disturb when you get home. To make these work, leet places a geofence around the place you choose and needs to detect your arrival even when the app is closed or in the background, so it asks for background ("Allow all the time") location for this feature. It is off by default, the app shows a clear explanation before asking, and everything else in leet works without it. Your location is matched against your own geofences on the device, is never logged, and is never sent off the device or shared with anyone.
Contacts Used to address a message draft or save a scanned business card — read at the moment you use that feature, not synced or exported.
Autofill service Only active when you tap a login field yourself and choose to fill it from your vault. leet never fills a field automatically or silently.
Physical activity Reads the phone's own step counter to show today's step count, inside the app and — if you've placed the widget — as an occasional line on the home-screen widget. It also uses activity recognition to tell when you're in a vehicle, so steps counted while driving or riding are excluded and your count stays accurate. This is all processed on the device; no history is sent anywhere.
Bluetooth Sees devices you've already paired, to power automations like "car connects → silence notifications." leet doesn't scan for new devices.
Usage access Shows your own screen-time and app-usage figures inside the app, and — if you've placed the widget — as an occasional line on the home-screen widget. This stays on the device; it is a special Android permission you turn on yourself in Settings.
Background data transfer Lets the AI model download keep running with the screen off, so you don't have to sit and watch a 2 GB file. Only active while a download you started is in progress, and it stops the moment you pause it.
Do Not Disturb access Lets automations you set up (like face-down on a table) silence the phone. leet doesn't read or store your notifications' content through this permission.
Exact alarms So reminders ring at the exact minute you set, not "whenever the phone gets around to it."

leet never sends a message, payment, or action on your behalf without you tapping to confirm it first.

04The only times leet uses the internet

leet is built to work with the network off, and nothing in it reaches the internet on its own. There are exactly two situations where it does, and you start both of them:

  • Downloading the on-device AI model the first time you enable AI features — a one-time ~2 GB file download from Hugging Face, so the model can then run fully offline. It only ever starts from a tap, and warns you first if you're on mobile data.
  • Restoring or exporting a backup to a location you choose, such as a folder you pick on your device.

Neither of these sends your personal content to leet's developer or to any analytics service. leet has no background sync, no telemetry, and no update check of its own — when a new version is ready, the app store you installed leet from tells you, exactly as it does for every other app on your phone.

05Sharing with third parties

leet does not have a backend server, so there is no infrastructure of ours that your data could pass through. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with advertisers, data brokers, or other companies, because we never receive it in the first place.

06Your control over your data

Because everything stays on your device, you hold the data directly:

  • Delete any reminder, note, message draft, or entry at any time inside the app.
  • Export or create a backup whenever you want, and store it wherever you choose.
  • Uninstalling leet removes its on-device data along with it (unless you've saved a backup elsewhere).
  • Lock the app itself with an app-lock, independent of your phone's own lock screen.

07Children

leet is a general productivity tool and is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age — for the same reason it doesn't collect information from adults: everything stays local to the device it's installed on.

08Changes to this policy

If leet's data handling ever changes — for instance, if a future feature needed to talk to a server — this page will be updated first, with a new effective date at the top, before that feature ships.

09Contact & grievances

leet is built and published by an individual developer, not a company. The same person answers both ordinary questions about this policy and formal grievances — there is no support queue in between.

One thing worth saying plainly, because it shapes what a grievance can be about: leet has no server and no account, so there is no copy of your data anywhere for us to correct, hand over, or delete on request.
